Mrs Eleanor Rawsthorne
My name is Mrs Rawsthorne and I am the EYFS Lead overseeing Nursery and Reception across the federation. I am also the class teacher for Lawley Class here at Moreton Say. I have a passion for the Early Years and a love of reading.
Welcome to Lawley Class, our exciting Early Years setting! In Lawley Class, we create an engaging environment that inspires our little learners. Here, we foster curiosity and help children to develop a love of learning.
We have carefully planned and created an environment of continuous provision which enables our children to learn skills, challenge their thinking and help them to embed concepts. It will also provide the context for a variety of learning conversations between children and adults with rich opportunities for modelling and extending speech and vocabulary. We are confident that within this learning environment our children will develop key learning attributes such independence, resilience and creativity which follow them through their learning careers. The term ‘continuous provision’ refers to a range of provision areas and key resources which are available for our children to use every day. We have chosen to include areas such as construction, role play, small world, art, blocks, sand/water to build on our children’s interests. By creating provision areas in this way and keeping them the same throughout the year, we aim to ensure fewer distractions and provide the context for children to collaborate, form relationships and communicate.
Through our literacy and topic work, children will explore a variety of topics and themes that spark their imagination. We encourage children to ask questions and discover new things every day. Our caring and dedicated staff are here to support each child, ensuring they feel safe and valued as they begin this wonderful adventure in learning.
We believe that every day brings new opportunities to grow and develop, and we are excited to see what each child will achieve. Together, we will make wonderful memories and build a strong foundation for their future learning experiences.
